    About Luxe Yacht Hospitality

    Meet the Founder, Katherine Johns

    With nearly two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, I bring a rich and diverse background in fine dining and luxury service, backed by a Culinary Arts degree and certification as a Tequila Sommelier. My career has spanned five-star and five-diamond properties, including managing the bar program at one of the South’s oldest and most prestigious country clubs. I’ve had the privilege of serving elected officials, celebrities, and Country Music stars, while also supporting restaurateurs with both soft and grand openings. My hands-on culinary experience includes working as a Sous Chef alongside one of Nashville’s most talented private chefs, and I’ve trained over 200 hospitality professionals throughout my career.

    After relocating to South Florida and earning my STCW certification, I quickly identified a gap in formal education and skill-building opportunities for interior yacht crew—especially in the areas of service, bartending, and guest engagement. In response, I founded Luxe Yacht Hospitality, a company dedicated to raising the standard of onboard service through expert training, personalized consulting, and operational development.

    Through Luxe Yacht Hospitality, I work directly with yacht owners, captains, and interior crew to enhance the guest experience through tailored onboard training and hospitality consulting. Whether it’s a single-day charter, a weekend escape, or an entire charter season, I help owners and their teams implement the tools, service protocols, and professional polish needed to deliver five-star experiences at sea. From crew education and bartending courses to full onboard program development, my goal is to ensure every moment on board is seamless, memorable, and elevated.

    Our flagship course, The Fundamentals of Bartending, launched in Spring 2025 and is offered both in small group settings and as personalized onboard sessions. This hands-on course covers essential bartending techniques, cocktail history, bar setup and organization, and efficient service practices—valuable knowledge for stews at all levels. Whether you're new to the industry or a seasoned professional looking to refine your craft, Luxe Yacht Hospitality offers the expertise to support your continued growth and excellence on the water.
